If you are having issues charging your model V218, V418, V818, or ONYX media players, please follow the instructions below.
1. Please confirm that the power switch (located on the side of the player) is in the up or ON position.
2. When you connect to your computer, please make sure that the computer is powered on and not in a sleep or standby state, as those low power states will not charge a USB device.
3. Verify that the LCD “Darkmode” setting is activated. This will ensure a speedy charge for your player.
To set your LCD “Darkmode”:
1. on the main menu, select “Setting” using the > or < buttons.
2. Briefly press the “M” button. This will take you in to your settings mode.
3. highlight “LCD Set” using the > or < buttons and briefly press the “M” button
4. “Darkmode” will already be highlighted. Briefly press the “M” button again
5. Use the > or < buttons to adjust the number of seconds before the Darkmode activates and briefly press the “M” button. The factory default setting is 15 seconds.
6. At this point, your adjustment has been made; simply press and hold the “M” button for 5 seconds to return to the main menu, and connect the player to charge.
